Yahrzeit is observed on the Hebrew calendar anniversary date of a loved one’s death. This day serves as a time of reflection, prayer, and remembrance.  Observing yahrzeit is a mitzvah (commandment) reflecting the Jewish values, memory and respect of the departed.
